A step-by-step guide to creating a Gig or Project
This article outlines best practices and tips for creating a successful Gig or Project to attract talent to your opportunity
TIP: Before getting started, remember to be as detailed as you can be on your requirements to ensure better candidate engagement and high-quality matches
1. Opportunity Type & Title: Specify the type of opportunity (gig or project) and the title of the opportunity you are looking to fill. Consider what will resonate with the audience you wish you attract.
2. Essential and Desired Skills: Clearly outline the required skills and qualifications for the role, differentiating between essential and nice-to-have attributes. Start typing the few few letters of the skill and Reejig will provide you with suggested skills to choose from.
3. Opportunity Description: Here you will provide detailed information about the opportunity, the work required and highlight the unique selling points about your Gig or Project. Use the inbuilt formatting tool to make your description stand out.
4. Weekly Hours: Specify the number of weekly hours required from the applicants.
5. Mode of Work: Clarify whether the work will be in-person, remote, or a hybrid arrangement.
6. Location: If applicable, specify the location of the assignment
7. When does the opportunity start / end?: This is a required field to specify the dates when the opportunity commences and ends.
8. Manager: Who will the successful applicant report to for this opportunity? By default, the opportunity creator will be assigned as the Manager
9. Department / Business Unit: If applicable, select the relevant Department or Business Unit that this opportunity belongs to
10. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s): Whilst not mandatory, Including an FAQ section can improve the overall understanding of the opportunity and clarify candidate expectations. Consider what common questions an applicant may have about the opportunity.
11. Registration Dates: This is a required field to specify the date range that the registrations of interest will be open for.
12. Custom Imagery: Use relevant imagery on your opportunity to make it stand out in the Marketplace. If you don’t have any imagery, don’t worry - Reejig has you covered!
13. Post the opportunity to the Marketplace: Once you have created your Gig or Project, Reejig will give you a preview of it. Once you are happy and ready to publish it, click on 'Post Opportunity'.
