Rating profiles against Opportunities

How rating all profiles is a great way to train Reejig's AI

Each time you perform an activity in Reejig, our AI models are constantly calibrating what good looks like.

This includes:

  • Rating profiles against opportunities,
  • Editing skills on an opportunity by adding or removing them,
  • Attaching a talent pool to an opportunity,
  • Moving a profile to a 'shortlist',
  • Nudging a candidate;
  • Many other activities

Rating profiles:

One of the most effective activities is rating profiles against the opportunity. This is when you assess the skills, experience and overall suitability of a profile, against the opportunity they've been matched to by Reejig or have applied to themselves.

When rating a candidate, you can choose from a one to five star rating as well as 'not relevant for opportunity'.

The image below explains what each rating means:

What happens when I rate a profile against the opportunity?

With every rating, Reejig learns and improves!

By rating a profile as a four or five star, Reejig will take note of the profiles attributes and learn that this is a what a good fit looks like for the requirements of that opportunity.

Conversely, rating a profile as one star, will tell Reejig, that candidate was not suitable - moving that profile towards the end of the matchlist and teaching Reejig AI that similar profiles should not be matched when the opportunity becomes available in the future.

TIP: Consider adding your 5 and 4 star profiles to any relevant Talent Pool(s) to curate a pre-qualified shortlist for use in similar future roles

When should I use 'Not relevant for this opportunity'?

When reviewing a profile and the profile looks ok but cannot be considered due to a reason, then you should use 'Not relevant for this Opportunity'. Examples include talent located in the wrong location for the opportunity, was recently hired for another position, or may not have the right to work status being sought after.

Moving a profile to this status will:
  • Remove the profile from the matchlist in that opportunity
  • Flag that person being rated 'N/A' for that opportunity so they no longer appear

Selecting 'Not relevant for the opportunity' will not train or influence the AI

Rating closed opportunities:

Even if the opportunity is closed, you can still retrospectively rate profiles and train Reejig to provide improved matches in the future.

We recommend this as a great activity when Reejig is new in your organisation and there is an array of closed opportunities, or anytime you have spare capacity!
